BIOGRAPHY Federico Milano
received from the University of Genoa, Italy, the Electrical
Engineer degree and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in March
1999 and June 2003, respectively. From September 2001 to December
2002 he worked at the Electrical & Computer Engineering
Department of the University of Waterloo, Canada, as a Visiting
Scholar. In September 2003, he joined the Department of Electrical
Engineering of University of Castilla-La Mancha, where he is
currently tenured associate professor. His research interests are
voltage stability, electricity market and computer-based power
system modeling. He is currently secretary of the IEEE PES Task
Force on Free & Open Source Software and of the IEEE PES Task
Force on Impact of Industry Restructuring on System Dynamic
Performance.
